The idea for Bedlam Brewery was born in 2011 by a group of friends whilst enjoying Bedfest in the picturesque Albourne Estate Winery in Sussex. Over a few beers we discussed our frustration at not being able to find local beers that not only tasted great, but were also better for the environment too!
Our passion was ignited and we built a small brewery on Bedlam Street with a mission to brew better beer for a better planet and our local community. By 2015 Bedlam Beers had gained such a strong local following we were encouraged to start brewing commercially and quickly outgrew our brewhouse, so built a new eco-brewery (which coincidentally is also on the original Bedlam Street), in the shadow of the picturesque South Downs National Park where we continue to brew award-winning beers today.
Committed to being a socially and environmentally responsible business, our mission is to harness the power of our brewery as a force for good to positively impact all stakeholders – employees, customers, community and our planet.
